Division
The materials laboratory was originally set up and gained UKAS accreditation
in 2000 as a separate limited company (Material Property Testing
Ltd)
From
23rd November 2006 the materials lab was amalgamated with
Soil Property Testing Ltd and became a division of the parent company.
All the held accredited tests were added to SPT's existing scope.
Our
principal aim is to provide a high level of technical
competency to the industry, and the company was
re-assessed to ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005 in August 2005.
The
management requirements for the laboratory are
modelled on ISO9000 documents with great emphasis on
Contract Review to ensure work is carried out in a practical,
well-documented, technically competent and efficient manner.
